Construction of the Magor and Undy Community Hub was completed this year after a lengthy planning process, developed on land that had been earmarked since the 1970s for a community centre for the local area.
Thanks to grants from the Welsh Government and The Lottery Monmouthshire County Council, planning permission was approved in 2018 and charity organisation ‘MUCH’ set to work on building a centre that would complement the nearby Magor and Undy Walkway railway station and offer recreational and social facilities for the community.
With building works nearly complete, the SD Sealants team were called upon to carry out expert sealant application throughout the property, including sanitaryware, door architraves, flooring, internal window frames, electrical trunking, external expansion joints, lights and under croft.
The team were on-site for just a week making sure that the community hub was in ship-shape ready for opening to the public, and we are incredibly proud of the work carried out.
Just a stones throw from SD’s head offices in Caldicot, this project has been one near and dear to our hearts and we are thrilled to have been able to help make a difference to our community. We hope the Hub provides space and support for locals for years to come.
