Horse racing was established at Goodwood in 1802 by the 3rd Duke of Richmond. Since then, ‘Glorious Goodwood’ has been one of the major events of the horse racing calendar, attracting the rich and famous over the centuries.
Widely regarded as one of the most beautiful horse racing venues in the world, every effort is made to present it at its best every racing season. This year SD has taken to the stand, rejuvenating the existing sliding door frames and curtain walling before the season began.
SD’s Senior Technician, Will McBain, led the project from start to finish. His team of highly trained technicians were able to repair any unsightly cracked, chipped or damaged surfaces left by heavy footfall. SD are delighted to have left the site having restored it to its original state and looking much refreshed.
Senior Technician Will said: “The SD Cosmetic Repair team has the skills and knowledge to recondition and renovate internal and external surfaces that are thought to be unfixable. Working in a historic and established location like Goodwood was a great experience for our team and we’re all very proud of the results.”
SD’s highly experienced and trained cosmetic building repairers offer a complete surface cosmetic repair service on an extensive list of surfaces. Unsightly chips, scratches and cracks can be professionally repaired to an exacting standard, often saving the need to replace expensive items.
