The SD Sealants Team have been on-site at the new Forest of Dean Community Hospital in Gloucestershire this year, carrying out the Mastic Application across several areas throughout.

The hospital, which is based in the Steam Mills area of Cinderford, opened its doors to the local community in May of this year following a gradual launch.

Forest of Dean Community Hospital has been built by the main contractor Speller Metcalfe to offer new modern facilities to the local area, including 24 beds with en-suite access in every room to give patients more privacy.

It replaces the now-closed Dilke Memorial Hospital and Lydney and District Hospitals in Gloucestershire.

The SD Team was contracted by Speller Metcalfe to carry out a range of Mastic works in preparation for the hospitals opening this spring.

SD’s work began in January 2024 and was complete as required for the grand opening to patients and families this May. Our team were required to carry out Sealant Application to internal window and door frames, sanitaryware, IPS units, lift doors and various other details as required within a hospital.

The SD Team has a great deal of experience in the healthcare and NHS sectors, and as such understand the importance of consistently achieving high standards to ensure hygiene and cleanliness is maintained in a medical environment.
