Following a period of rapid growth for the business, Jon’s appointment will allow for SD’s claims team to expand into new areas, research and develop new products and streamline procedures to ensure that repairs are carried out as swiftly and effectively as possible.
Having over 10 years of experience in the repairs industry, and an additional five years in wider construction, Jon has developed a versatile skillset and established time-honoured relationships within the sector throughout his career.
On his new appointment, Jon said: “I’m delighted to be taking on this new role within SD. Having initially joined the business in 2020 as Senior Technician, I’ve seen first-hand how dedicated this claims team is to providing outstanding, forward-thinking repairs for customers and I’m very much looking forward to helping them find new and innovative ways to do so.
“In the coming months I’ll be putting much of my energy into researching and developing better means of carrying out repairs for claimants, as with each new year there is always a new surface, a new colour, a new finish that customers need and I expect SD to be at the forefront of that change.”
As part of his new role, Jon will be advising SD’s insurance team with technical information and supporting them with assessing new claims, product testing for new solutions, as well as carrying out surveys and inspections for upcoming work.
