The event, which took place in London’s ExCeL on the 29th – 30th November, houses over 200 design studios, outfitters and leading suppliers within the marine industry, and as such we were delighted to have been recognised for our efforts in sustainability among such an impressive line-up.
Designed specifically for the exhibit, our cruise ship-inspired booth (complete with funnel and anchors) is 100% recyclable and is flat packed so that it can be re-used time and time again, saving on freight costs and its carbon footprint.
Huge thanks must go to Data Image Group who took our vision of an entirely green and sustainable stand and helped build something truly unique. Our ethos at SD is always to incorporate sustainability into everything that we do, and in showcasing our marine interiors offering at the show this year we wanted to bring with us a stand that represents that focus.
Managing Director of SD Marine Interiors, Simon Dawkins, was joined by a number of his expert team at the conference, including Heath Gandy, Marine Project Manager, Paul Thomas, Marine Commercial Director, and MD of the SD Group Nick Jones.
SD presented its full range of services including three primary offerings; Outfitting, Hard Surface Repair and Resin Flooring.
On exhibiting SD’s complete turnkey service at the ExCeL this November, Simon said: “This year’s CSI Expo has been a huge success, it’s been great to get together with clients old and new, from some of the world’s leading cruise lines, and discuss everything from sustainability to future projects with SD.”
“Cruise Ship Interiors run a fantastic event and it never fails to provide us with a great opportunity to develop our relationships with industry leaders from all over the world and discuss how we might be able to work collaboratively.”
“This year has been a particularly special one for us because we’ve had the chance to talk to so many people who have been excited about our stand and what it represents, and we’re incredibly proud to be taking home the Most Sustainable Booth award. It reminds us that we’re heading into 2024 with great things to come!”
