What we did
Glenlivet’s expansion plans had proposed to build new facilities and upgrade existing ones. They included a new distilling building, tank and equipment area, a replacement bioplant and new pipework, among other changes.
McLaughlin and Harvey Ltd have been undertaking the main building and construction work for the site over the past year, with SD more recently carrying out the internal and external mastic sealant works to all wall and floor joints.
For any whiskey aficionados out there, confirmation of this project comes at the same time that Glenlivet declared its new position as the world’s best-selling single malt Scotch whisky, overtaking William Grant & Sons’ Glenfiddich. Both brands are the only single malts to sell more than one million cases annually!

Results
The SD teams team were on-site in Scotland for three months, carrying out sealant application to a very high standard and we are proud to say that the contractors involved were all pleased with the results. We’ll expect our complimentary bottles in the post!
