The SS Great Britain is a museum ship and former passenger steamship, which was advanced for its time. It was the longest passenger ship in the world from 1845 to 1854, and is now one of Bristol’s most popular attractions.
The ship was designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel for the Great Western Steamship Company’s transatlantic service between Bristol and New York.
The SD cosmetic repairs team are very proud to be working on this project. Now listed as part of the National Historic Fleet, the SS Great Britain is an award-winning attraction and brings in between 150,000 and 200,000 visitors annually.
