S&D Sealants has appointed a new Glasgow-based Sales Manager, Davie Graham, originally from Cumbernauld, in order to cement the company’s expansion into Scotland.
Mr Graham has over 20 years’ experience in the sealants industry, joining his father’s sealant firm as an apprentice after leaving school, he worked his way up through the company, and eventually becoming a partner in the business before it was sold in May 2012 when his father became ill.
Mr Graham will be using his unrivalled knowledge of the construction trade in Scotland to help build the S&D brand.
Mr Graham said: “S&D Sealants already has an excellent reputation south of the border for the high quality of their products and their service so I’m positive that this is something we can build on.
“S&D has always tended to focus on commercial projects, and while these are certainly beneficial, my knowledge and contacts in the house building sector have meant that I’ve already been able to open a number of doors, which is great.”
It has been a strong year for S&D in Scotland and the company has worked on a number of projects linked with the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Nick Jones, Managing Director of S&D Sealants, said: “Davie and his father are well respected figures in the sealant industry and we are lucky to have someone of Davie’s calibre to help take the business to the next level.
“Although the construction industry hasn’t fared well in the past couple of years, our recent contract wins have shown that there is certainly work out there and hopefully, with Davie on board we can build on this success going forward.”
