Ronald McDonald House
Ronald McDonald House Charities provides free ‘home away from home’ accommodation for families who have children being treated at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital and the neo-natal intensive care unit at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff. The SD Cosmetic Repairs team were delighted to be asked by Wilmott Dixon to carry out finishing and repairs, including the exterior glass work that wraps around the building as seen below.
Tollcross International Swimming Pool
We were asked to carry out work on the 2014 Commonwealth Games Village and the Tollcross International Swimming Centre, where internal and external mastic sealant application was needed throughout wet and dry areas of the Village. This was a fantastic project to be a part of and having witnessed the high standard of our sealant work, Barr Construction also contracted SD to undertake projects in several school sports facilities, such as Conan Bridge Primary in Inverness and Newcumnock Primary in Ayreshire.
Dings Crusaders Rugby Football Club
Dings Crusaders RFC is an English rugby union team based in the Bristol suburb of Lockleaze. Its one of the oldest clubs in Bristol, stretching back over 110 years and as part of our community promise, the SD cosmetic repairs team spent seven full days of repair work on the grounds, fixing up everything from window frames to stands.
Sir Thomas Rich’s School in Gloucester
Sir Thomas Rich’s School prides itself on its reputation for sporting achievements so it’s essential that it’s able to offer a wide range of sporting opportunities for all pupils, including swimming. SD was called upon to completely retile the swimming pool, which took almost three months from start to finish and involved the removal of all existing tiling, followed by a comprehensive grinding for all surfaces. The team then completed repairs to all surfaces inside and outside the pool and all areas were tanked and the pool was re-tiled throughout.
